As you may have noticed..we come awake at the golden hour. I love this look because it describes me perfectly, boho with a rocker edge. One thing I love about the 90s fashion comeback is the "tie it around your waist cause we are that cool and casual" look. Especially when it's plaid, i'm all for it. Another of my favorites obviously.. lace, I CAN'T have enough. This is actually a slip dress from none other then our Gypsy Junkies babes. And, Kelsea Holder has done it again folks, such a beautiful soul on the inside and out that girl. xoxox
Yeah you THOUGHT it would be MGMT but think again.. Rhi showed me this cover and I have continuously filled my ears on the daily with this sweet tune. Please listen and enjoy,
We were super inspired by this incredible green grassy field (hence to flower crown.) The perfect place to shoot this neon Gypsy Junkies Poppy Tank. It's great because you can wear it like a vest (as pictured) or button up the front and rock it as a tank top. Any Gypsy clothing goes to well with crochet so we doubled the fun with this sweet top plus our oh so loved Jeffrey Campbell Litas. How lovely are these photos? Michelle Roller you are awesome, thank you for sharing your talent with us and can't wait to work with you again. Check out her AMAZING site: michellerollerphotography.com!
You know when you hear a song that you can't stop listening to over and over again? Well, Mac DeMarco has given me one and I am OBSESSED. The title track of his recent album Salad Days is soooo good its hard to explain with words. Listen to it and you will understand. Mac DeMarco is a genius and I love him.
I really can't get enough of bell bottoms these days. I just want to have more and more and MORE. Then add anything white and floral and I'm spent. Hence, le outfit. Everywhere in the central coast is gorgeous right now! Hope you all have been enjoying these magnificent locations as well. Pictures shot by Michelle Roller.
Chet Faker.. I love you, this one is for your sultry self. His voice is soo lovely and occasionally he pairs with mah boy Flume.. so yeah, pure amazingness. Australian electronic musicians seem to be my cup of tea these days. Enjoy folks
It has come to that time, the last suns of April are setting and we are so sad to say goodbye to our gypsy filled April. This month has truly been a wonderful experience and we are so grateful to our Gypsy family. Special thanks to our lovely photographers; Jeff Davis, Kiyana Tehrani, Michelle Roller and Kelsea Holder, you guys helped make this month extra special. Hope you enjoy this recap of our favorite Gypsy Junkies moments.
Nothing says Morro Bay like a misty, fogging morning. We were super excited to capture it wearing some Gypsy heaven. Mad props to Kiyana Tehrani for the excellent photography. Check out her rad work: http://kiyanatehrani.tumblr.com/! Fell in love with this tunic when I first saw it. So cool, and different, a definite statement piece. WE LOVE YOU GYPSIES <3
Throwing it back with the song choice this week. Love me some Gwen Stefani and this song still kicks ass.

Cold mornings aren't so cold in this endless summer. Shorts year round are all I ever need, especially if they consist of Gypsy Junkies + Fluorescents. But, if there is one thing I love more than shorts, it's white + denim <3 This jacket is another item from our upcoming Velvet Sugar store… be patient with us folk and we will provide :)
This tune is a new one I found by one of my favorite artists ever, Ray LaMontagne. I have put his voice in my top three voices (Next to Paul Simon and James Taylor xoxo). If you don't know him, you need to.
Couldn't be more excited to start off this beautiful day with this beautiful blog. Shot by the truly talented Kelsea Holder. Please check out her site kelseaholder.com and you will be in awe. The gypsy magic continues! Obsessed with this beaded head piece, I've always been a sucker for turquoise (I think it runs in the family.) Also loving this dreamy top made by the Gypsies themselves. I'm constantly looking for basic tanks that have an edge and this one takes the cake. The purple top in the purple flowers is too perfect. So happy with how these pictures came out, enjoy!
Stoked to find this band called the Dirty Art Club. I love songs with cool mystical beats and thats exactly what the Dirty Art Club is about. Check 'em if you're into that!
Happy sunday and a happy Easter to all!! Rhi and I were home this weekend and just had a marvelous homemade brunch with our older sister and our mom, so our Sunday couldn't be starting off better! Also while we were home, we got to work with a darling photographer, Kelsea Holder. We found this unbelievably beautiful lupin field and frolicked about :) Please check out more of her work it is gorgeous!
This brilliant song choice goes out to our boy Flume! Specifically because we get to see him tonight in SB yessssssss. He is one of our favorite DJs and a handsome Australian lad if we don't say so ourselves. We are stoked and can't wait to go INSANEEEEE. Party on y'all,
My lovely readers, whomever you may be, we are only halfway through April so stay with us. Another Gypsy Junkies piece today, this fringe dress, was a tad more difficult then I had imagined to style but this outfit has become one of my favorite! You wouldn't be able to capture its twirl magic without the brilliant photography of Michelle Roller. Please check out her amazing work here: MichelleRollerPhotography
If you need an upbeat groove to start your day.. look no further then this CAJMERE song with a little twist. It's awesome and definitely gives me a little pep in my step. Happy spring everyone!
HEY! Coming at you with this new post. Keeping it simple with jeans, a top, and a sweater; always a great combo. As you can see here, our fav accessory duo right now is a hat and a backpack. Super practical and PERF for festivals. Spiced up this 'fit with these amazing shoes that I luckily stumbled upon at a thrift store in Portland. So seventies and so Velvet Sugar. We love, hope ya do toooo!
HEY! again. Hahahaha recently rediscovered this excellent song by the Pixies. A little blast from the past is always necessary in life. Listen, listen, listen!!
