Change the Colors in the Sky

Got to shoot this look in one of my favorite places on Earth; Montana de Oro.  If you've never been, I strongly advise you to take a trip here.  It's my little slice of heaven.  Now onto the clothing.  Do you like this vintage, denim jacket?  Well, Taryn and I are working on putting together a vintage clothing store and this jacket is one of the pieces that will be for sale!  More info to come so stay posted.  Big jackets or sweaters over a little tight dress or skirt + shirt equal the perfect balance of comfortable and sexi, def try it out.  Finished this look with these vintage crocodile booties and of course lots o' jewels.

Today's song, Change the Colors in the Sky, is by this awesome band I just recently discovered called American Royalty.  They are super unique.  The lead singer has a really bluesy voice that is played over electronic beats, creating a whole new sound.  Check them out!

Winter Is All Over You

Nothing says winter like a little trip to the snow.. or what there is of snow. California may have it all but this year is the year of drought.. wtf. Regardless of the lack of seasons, I still decided to get on mah snow pants and dance. Here's a mini shoot from the mountains with my new Burton jacket complimented by Urban Outfitters attire.

The best part of this post is this song! First Aid Kit is a swedish folk duo of SISTERS yayyyyy. I love their music, especially since folk music hits the roots of our childhood.. but mix in some Baauer beatz and its GOLD. Check it out people.

Creeque Alley

Kickin' off this beautiful Monday with this little look.  Be on the lookout for knee-length skirts this season, they are making their comeback.  I especially love this one because it's velvet, my fav material in the world.  Believe it or not, I've had this sweater since I was about five years old.  It fits me now as a little crop, which is perfect for my wardrobe.  Top it all off with lots o' jewels, pointy black heels, and this fabulous leather purse my mom got me from France.

Since my sweater is a blast from the past, had to do the same for the music selection this week.  If you don't already know The Mamas and the Papas, you sure are missin' out on some classic, excellent music.  Have a radical week my friends!

Follow The Sun

I'm a magnet to the California coast. Took a drive up to Big Sur with the fam on this gorgeous sunny day decided to capture a few moments with this view. Outfit details; Rhi knows me too well when she bought me these white lace detailed overalls from Wasteland. I adore overalls and I say YES bring them back and rock da shit outta em. Found this sweater at Nordstom and love its simplicity and definitely the color. And must we repeat, jewels.. you can never have too many. <3

Take a listen to "Follow The Sun" by Xavier Rudd, one of the sweetest damn voices in the world. I love his lyrics and vocals so much and just recently found this song of his. Go find a sunset and plug in.
