Better Together

It has come to that time, the last suns of April are setting and we are so sad to say goodbye to our gypsy filled April. This month has truly been a wonderful experience and we are so grateful to our Gypsy family.  Special thanks to our lovely photographers; Jeff Davis, Kiyana Tehrani, Michelle Roller and Kelsea Holder, you guys helped make this month extra special. Hope you enjoy this recap of our favorite Gypsy Junkies moments.

Bath Water

Nothing says Morro Bay like a misty, fogging morning.  We were super excited to capture it wearing some Gypsy heaven.  Mad props to Kiyana Tehrani for the excellent photography.  Check out her rad work: http://kiyanatehrani.tumblr.com/!  Fell in love with this tunic when I first saw it.  So cool, and different, a definite statement piece.  WE LOVE YOU GYPSIES <3

Throwing it back with the song choice this week.  Love me some Gwen Stefani and this song still kicks ass.

Airwaves

Cold mornings aren't so cold in this endless summer. Shorts year round are all I ever need, especially if they consist of Gypsy Junkies + Fluorescents. But, if there is one thing I love more than shorts, it's white + denim <3 This jacket is another item from our upcoming Velvet Sugar store… be patient with us folk and we will provide :)

This tune is a new one I found by one of my favorite artists ever, Ray LaMontagne. I have put his voice in my top three voices (Next to Paul Simon and James Taylor xoxo). If you don't know him, you need to.

Sun Burn

Couldn't be more excited to start off this beautiful day with this beautiful blog.  Shot by the truly talented Kelsea Holder.  Please check out her site kelseaholder.com and you will be in awe.  The gypsy magic continues!  Obsessed with this beaded head piece, I've always been a sucker for turquoise (I think it runs in the family.)  Also loving this dreamy top made by the Gypsies themselves.  I'm constantly looking for basic tanks that have an edge and this one takes the cake.  The purple top in the purple flowers is too perfect.  So happy with how these pictures came out, enjoy!

Stoked to find this band called the Dirty Art Club.  I love songs with cool mystical beats and thats exactly what the Dirty Art Club is about.  Check 'em if you're into that!

Insane

Happy sunday and a happy Easter to all!! Rhi and I were home this weekend and just had a marvelous homemade brunch with our older sister and our mom, so our Sunday couldn't be starting off better! Also while we were home, we got to work with a darling photographer, Kelsea Holder. We found this unbelievably beautiful lupin field and frolicked about :) Please check out more of her work it is gorgeous!

This brilliant song choice goes out to our boy Flume! Specifically because we get to see him tonight in SB yessssssss. He is one of our favorite DJs and a handsome Australian lad if we don't say so ourselves. We are stoked and can't wait to go INSANEEEEE. Party on y'all,

Brighter Days

My lovely readers, whomever you may be, we are only halfway through April so stay with us. Another  Gypsy Junkies piece today, this fringe dress, was a tad more difficult then I had imagined to style but this outfit has become one of my favorite! You wouldn't be able to capture its twirl magic without the brilliant photography of Michelle Roller. Please check out her amazing work here: MichelleRollerPhotography

If you need an upbeat groove to start your day.. look no further then this CAJMERE song with a little twist. It's awesome and definitely gives me a little pep in my step. Happy spring everyone!

Hey

HEY!  Coming at you with this new post.  Keeping it simple with jeans, a top, and a sweater;  always a great combo.  As you can see here, our fav accessory duo right now is a hat and a backpack.  Super practical and PERF for festivals.  Spiced up this 'fit with these amazing shoes that I luckily stumbled upon at a thrift store in Portland.  So seventies and so Velvet Sugar.  We love, hope ya do toooo!

HEY! again.  Hahahaha recently rediscovered this excellent song by the Pixies.  A little blast from the past is always necessary in life.  Listen, listen, listen!!
