Gypsies, Tramps and Thieves

My my its only April 1st, and already this month is exceeding our expectations. This is no April fools, we are proud to announce we are Gypsy Junkie's new "Gypsies of the month":)) Last week we had the pleasure of entering the Gypsy Junkies HQ in West Hollywood which is like a gypsy fairy tale plus CLOTHES ON CLOTHES ON CLOTHES. And yes, we tried on all we could fit in our arms. In the end the wonderful Gypsies sent us home with so many new treasures we couldn't believe our eyes. Stay tuned for our exciting month ahead and THANK YOU to our lovely new gypsy family :)

Green Aisles

This colorful look is inspired by my favorite time of the year which is finally here!  Spring spring spring I love you.  We are obsessed with the bright colors this lovely season brings and did our best to capture that vibrance in this 'fit.  Be on the lookout for bright colored tops, they are sure to be on the fashion forecast this season.  We got crafty and made this flower crown, perfect for all the upcoming festivals (another reason why spring rocks.)  We had a ton of fun shooting this post, have fun lookin'!

Little Black Submarines

There is an inner rocker in all of us and I believe in letting that flag fly. Give me a band tee and I can conquer the world.. well, maybe only in my mind. Kimonos are also a wardrobe must have. They complete the spicy rocker/ free spirit look that I lurvv. Spotted this one traveling through Barcelona and had to make it mine forever.

Song choice this week goes out to the rocker duo we all know and love, The Black Keys.  This song is inspired by my outfit because I love how they use a contrast of acoustic flava against a head-banging finale. Rock on y'all

Gypsy

Spring time + Free People + Jeffrey Campbells = magic.  Am I right? ^

This look reminds me a lot of one of my favorite artists Stevie Nicks.  Not only did she basically give me my name, she has a bad-ass style that inspires us everyday.  Gotta dedicate this week's song to her <3

I Follow Rivers

Man we are lagging in the blogging department, but ladies and gentlemen, this spring we are going full force. I am really excited about this post because it is our first blogger collaboration. Not only is this girly the most amazing and creative nail artist the nail world has to offer, she is one of our oldest childhood friends! Lindsey is so badass that she was able to create a nail design based off of this new tee I got from Asos. It helps that we are both floral crazed daisy lovers. Check out more of her work at http://www.wondrouslypolished.com

This tune is by a Swedish singer/songwriter named Lykke Li. I heard her a few years ago but recently found this track and I love it!
Enjoy this spring weather my friends!

Alien Days

Managed to do a random little shoot throughout Santa Barbara this past weekend!  Found a bunch of really cool spots, so we decided to take a couple pictures at each.  Went for a classic, everyday look for this one.  Spiced it up by adding LOTS of jewels (of course) and this sick ass vintage, leather backpack.  Perfect for all the upcoming festivals!!!! Enjoy, enjoy enjoy :)

Had to dedicate this post to MGMT.  A band I will always love and appreciate.  Recently rediscovered the song Alien Days.  I had forgot how rad it is, give it a listen! (and watch the tripppppppyyyy video)

Wild Country

Hello everyone! Apologies for the lack of blog posts lately, been busy, busy! So excited about starting our new store, we can't wait to show you all what we have brewin'. Meanwhile in Cali, the only way I can ever wear my new Nameless faux fur/leather jacket I got for Christmas is with a pair of shorts.. and I was still sweating. I'm not complaining, it is my favorite combination butttt just incase, maybe I should hop over to NY so I can truly put this baby to use.. :D Who else is jealous they couldn't be there for NYFW? Me too.. me too..

On other news, this song is by a band i've been listening to for a while now called Wake! Owl. This singer/songwriter has an incredible voice, plus the kinda old-school folkey vibe that I adore. Enjoy!
